Air Force School Makarpura Was Established As A Pre-primary School In A Temporary Building In 1986 With An Initial Strength Of Just 30 Students. It Was Founded With The Aim Of Providing Comprehensive, Modern Education To The Children Of Indian Air Force Personnel.

In 1997, The School Was Shifted To Its Present Location Within The Makarpura Air Force Campus. Over Time, The School Has Expanded To Meet The Growing Educational Needs Of The Community. In The Academic Session 2018–19, It Was Upgraded To Include Primary Classes Up To 2^nd Standard. In 2025, The Nursery Class Was Also Introduced, Making The School Cater To Classes From Nursery To Grade 2.

Since Its Inception, The School Has Made Sustained Efforts To Strive For The All-round Development Of Its Students. The Campus Is Well-equipped With Modern Facilities, Including A Well-stocked Library, Computer Lab, Activity Room, Hobby Room, Dance Room, Sports Room, Staff Room, Puppet Theatre, And A Medical Room. Additionally, The School Boasts A Large Playground, Shaded Assembly Area, Herbal Garden, Traffic Park, Smart Classrooms, And Other Amenities That Contribute To A Holistic Learning Environment.

With Its Persistent Efforts And Dedicated Staff, The School Has Consistently Lived Up To The Expectations Of The Air Force Community And Has Earned A Sound Reputation In And Around Makarpura.
